Rick Baldwin
President
Rick has been a computer technician since 1982, when he first
joined Larry Smith Office Equipment, a local office equipment dealer and service provider.
It was with this company that Rick's high standard of ethics, integrity and
customer focus developed. During his employment with this company he became their
"PC Computer Specialist" due to his knowledge of PC operating systems, software
applications, and networking. His most recent position with this company was as
their "Head Technician" in which his duties included assisting other technicians
resolving the "more difficult issues" which arose on a day-to-day basis. In
1997, Rick obtained a position running a service department for the Buffalo & Erie
Country Public Library system. With the support of other technicians and personnel,
Rick streamlined and organized their computer service department, which supported the
Central Library, located in Downtown Buffalo, as well as their 52 Branch Libraries located
throughout Erie County, NY.
Finally, in 1998, due to the prompting of his former customers,
Rick founded his own company, Rick Baldwin Office Systems & Service. Originally
established as only a "service" company, by customer request, it quickly
expanded to selling computer hardware, software, networking, as well as Internet Services,
such as dial-in and high speed Internet access, web site design and hosting services.
Rick Baldwin's credentials include A+ Certified Technician, factory
training by major manufacturers such as Acer, Cannon, Compaq, Hewlett Packard, IBM,
Okidata, Panasonic and Toshiba, to name a few. This training encompasses service and
support of printers, computers, laptops and servers. He is experienced in Lantastic,
Windows, and Windows NT network operating systems and has attended numerous Customer
